			Welcome to the SCITTELS website! “Teacher training delivered and evaluated by teachers in the interests of pupils and teachers now and in the future.” The SCITTELS consortium offers two routes into teaching; both of these lead to the award of QTS. Our trainees rate us highly for preparation to teach in an urban primary setting, mastering teaching skills in behaviour and discipline, English as an Additional Language, Special Educational Needs and Disability; We offer enhanced training in the teaching of reading, including Phonics; Our partnership schools offer trainees the opportunity to experience examples of outstanding practice; The skills and experience gained through the SCITTELS programme prepare our trainees well for their first teaching post, whether they secure a post within Newham or elsewhere.
